Etsy Shop

Lately I've been taking little breaks from sewing to experiment more with the whole power tools and fire thing. I listed the results on Etsy, which I think I'm going to start using more often. It's an interesting community.

Upcycling v2.0

This morning, I made entry #2 of 3 for the Etsy Upcycling Contest.

This bracelet is made from a silverplated teaspoon which had lost most of the plate on the bowl, and was therefore unuseable for food. The danglies are from an earring which had lost it's mate. The only new parts here are the jump rings holding the danglies on.

The best part about this project was that I got to use powertools and FIRE!!! =D

Listed here for $30:

Upcycling!

I finally finished one of the three projects I was going to upload to Etsy's Upcycling contest. These pajamas are made from a discarded cotton/acrylic blend sweater. Even the buttons and the bow are recycled! (the bow came off last year's Valentine's Day Godiva indulgence)

If anyone is interested in purchashing the pajamas, they are here:

Yesterday, I made a test pair of the bottoms out of one of the tee-shirts that was left over from the Naked Lady party. I thought they would be a fun project to try doing a tutorial for, so it's over on Flickr too.
